This project is a new residence in an 1890’s historic building in downtown Traverse City, Michigan.  The residence contains two bedrooms and a loft which doubles as a small office.  The design was inspired by preserving view lines through the spaces, as well as introducing overhead skylights and recessed lighting to emphasize the original structure of the space.  Open living kitchen and dining spaces flow into the master bedroom which opens to the public spaces, while able to be concealed for privacy.
