Silver Lake Residence

Desinged for a narrow, heavily wooded lot on the East shore of Silver Lake. This residence is planned around the majority of the existing trees on the lot to retain as much of the original character of the site. The floor plan mimics an existing path which moves in and out through the trees. To capture the northern cottage feeling the house is divided into two seperate areas which gives the sense of a grouping of small cottages rather than one large structure. With neighbors close by on each side the house utilizes many high, south facing windown to retain privacy while allowing as much natural light into the spaces as possible.
